Opening par
Calculated, not guessed.
Opening par is derived from room count and linen turn rate — how many sets are on the bed, in the cart, in the wash and on the shelf at any moment. Get it wrong low and housekeeping is short in week two. Get it wrong high and you have a year of capital sitting in a storeroom.
We run the calculation against your actual room mix and laundry arrangement, and show you the working.
Timing
Late enough to have somewhere to go.
OS&E is high-volume and low-value per carton, which makes it the worst thing to have arrive early. It gets scheduled against your certificate of occupancy and your storage capacity, not against whichever vendor could ship soonest.
